The first Business Superbrands program in full progress in Romania Bucharest, 6rd of May 2007. The Superbrands programme continues in Romania with Business Superbrands, a new tool meant to identify and honor the exceptional brands from the business segment on the Romanian market. Started in March this year, the analysis and validation process of the brands has ended. The results of the market research performed by The Nielsen Company, partner of the Business Superbrands programme for Romania, were submitted to the new Business Superbrands Council consisting of 24 representatives of the Romanian business environment, which evaluated 2,300 individual Romanian and international brands classified in 46 categories by various activity areas, according to the Superbrands methodology. The specific criteria of Business Superbrands this year are: reputation & prestige, quality, trust and reliability, and distinction. After the arbitration process, the preliminary results show that one out of three brands validated by the Business Superbrands Council is eligible to receive the Business Superbrands status on the Romanian market. We exclusively bring you some relevant results of the evaluation process: from the point of view of the scores reached, the highest appreciation goes to Nokia Romania for the “quality” criterion, while advertising company Leo Burnett & Target ranks first for the “trust and reliability” criterion. Exactly one year after entering the Romanian market, Vodafone Romania receives a high recognition for the “distinction” criterion, while McDonalds Romania is the favorite for the “reputation and prestige” criterion. Among the Romanian brands, most of the votes from the Council were received by Mobexpert, in the industry where it operates, while its competitor, Ikea, a new entry on the Romanian market, is already on the list of brands that are eligible to receive the Business Superbrands status in Romania. From the point of view of the number of votes received for all four criteria, Orange Romania and advertising company Leo Burnett & Target are the brands with the highest number of votes, while Ziarul Financiar was the most voted brand in the Romanian mass-media.
